Putting God at the forefront of our life

A picture showing them friends that feels joy for putting God at the forefront of their life

Good day everyone… It’s another episode of Thursday reflection and I welcome you all to this amazing episode of Thursday reflection titled “putting God at the forefront of our life.

probably, you missed the first episode: REFLECTING ON THE WORD

Hope you will be blessed with this episode..

So, can we pray for we start?
Daddy we appreciate you for the gift of life, we thank you for your overwhelming love on our life.

Daddy,as we want to reflect on your word, may you speak to us, and bless us in Jesus name.(Amen)

So, I was reading my Bible this morning and I was thrilled about some verses in psalm 16… The verse gave me some kind of joy beyond my imaginations..

And lt was ps 16:8,9 ” I have set the Lord always before me: he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved… Therefore, my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also rest in hope…

Setting the Lord always before us is the acknowledgement of God always, making God the priority in our life, sometimes, we say, Lord I give you place in my heart, but the question is, what place did you give God in your life?

What position is He occupying? Is it the front of our life or at the rear end? Seeking “first” the kingdom of God and his righteousness…..(Matt 6:33a)
So, He said we shall not be moved when we put Him before us(at the forefront of our life), no matter what may happen, we shall not be moved.
come what may, in every situation, in every circumstances, when life seems dark and dreary, we shall not be moved because He is at our right hand

Then, I was thrilled with verse 9, which says, hence, my heart is glad, my glory rejoice and even my flesh, the least of it also shall rest in hope… “Rest” in hope…

So, the last verse was something I cannot help but smile and it gave me so much joy I can’t even explain
” Thou will shew me the path of life; in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand, there are pleasures for evermore ..

In other words, he will guide me, i shall never be confused in life.. why? Because I have set the Lord always before me, I have put Him in front of my melody and he is all that matters to me

Then, I will have an overflowing joy and I will bask in the euphoria of his presence, because his presence has given what no man can give, the joy I feel in his presence is beyond my human understanding, I feel secured in his presence.. and he has become all that matters to me, no man can take his place in my heart because the joy in my soul is like a flowing river

Oh the overwhelming, never ending reckless love of God,
Oh it chases me down, fight till am found, leaves the ninety nine
I couldn’t earn it, I don’t deserve it, still you gave yourself aways
Oh the overwhelming, neverending reckless love of God..

There is no shadow you won’t light up,
Mountains you won’t climb up
coming after me
No wall you won’t kick down,
Lie you won’t tear down
Coming after me..

So, I want us to know that God’s love is still speaking for us, even during this lockdown, his love is massive over our lives… Like the deer pant after the water Brooks, so let our heart pant for you oh Lord (Amen)

I beseech us to bask in his presence, let’s put him at the forefront of our life, and believe in Him..

I believe you have been blessed by this Thursday reflection, it’s a great pleasure being on this platform again.. next episode comes up next week Thursday… Stay blessed
